Background of the Study
Job satisfaction refers to the extent to which employees feel content with their jobs, including aspects such as work environment, compensation, recognition, and career growth opportunities. High levels of job satisfaction are often associated with increased employee commitment, motivation, and performance, whereas low job satisfaction can lead to higher turnover rates, absenteeism, and decreased productivity. BUA Group, a leading conglomerate in Nigeria with interests in cement, sugar, and other industries, has a substantial workforce in Bauchi State.

In Bauchi State, where BUA Group operates a cement factory, employees' job satisfaction is crucial for maintaining a productive workforce. Understanding how various factors, such as salary, work environment, management practices, and career development, influence job satisfaction is vital for reducing turnover rates and improving organizational performance. This study seeks to assess the relationship between job satisfaction and employee turnover at BUA Group, with a focus on identifying the factors that contribute to job satisfaction and their impact on employees’ decisions to stay or leave the company.
